Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 77reviewers. Rated 5 out of 5 by Angela23 The scotch painters tape with edge lock paint line protector is the only painters tape i ever use it works exactly as described! Whenever i have used your painters tape it's always worked exactly as it should! For example it can be very stressful when it's time to remove the tape from your freshly painted walls but with your scotch painters tape i have never been disappointed! It always comes off just as it should without removing any paint. August 19, 2012 Rated 5 out of 5 by ladysculptor Never fails to perform the same reliable way everytime If you are an artist that uses paint of any kind this Edge-Lock Scotch blue tape is a must. It's a must for water color painting. But on glass, craft or cathedal painting is made easier when making pure lines. Ofcourse for painting wall murals it's indespensable. Save yourself hours of extra work. It's a must in every artist studio. February 18, 2012 ![]() Rated 5 out of 5 by JPass great product! I have used this on fairly fresh paint and polyutherthane without any issues. With the edge lock you have to make sure the tape edge is firmlysecured on the surface November 9, 2011 Rated 4 out of 5 by ericpeace Lasting quality Working in the southwest part of Louisiana. Humidity and my customers battling this with high volume of air conditioning. The tape holds its edge beautifully. I thought I might run into a problem with the extreme humidity change. Especially when I had to leave product on for over 24 hours. Thanks for offering a quality product. November 8, 2011 Rated 5 out of 5 by echey ScotchBlue Painter's Tape In the last 15 years, several painters have painted the interior and exterior of our house and they ALL used the ScotchBlue Painter's tape. They liked the flexibility, the adhesive quality without residue, and the easy on and off. We were especially glad that our faux painter used it on the numerous interior walls she painted for us without running the risk of damage. August 29, 2011 Rated 1 out of 5 by Billy Bleeds everywhere Terrible product, tried to stripe a bathroom and I was very disappointed when I pulled the tape off!!! It is supposed to be EDGE LOCK and it wasn't at all. I am a professional painter have been painting for over 30 years I will go back to another product I have used in the past. I can't tell you how incredibly frustrated I was. Instructions said to wait 24 hours, I waited 2 days and it still bled thru. I will never buy this product again this was an awful experience. April 12, 2013 ![]() ![]() Rated 5 out of 5 by Gigi The best tape for delicate surfaces Scotch Edge-Lock tape did everything as promised on website, there was no paint lifting and paint seeping under the edge of the tape. Makes job much easier and less time consuming. April 3, 2013 Rated 3 out of 5 by lcberger good on surface, but still bleeds the tape did not peel off the paint underneath that was painted the day before, but it did not leave sharp edges like it suggested it would - had to go back and repaint over with the background color, retape the stripes, paint over tape w/background color again and repaint stripes. After this, the lines came out sharp, but the only benefit to using this tape was no damage to surface underneath whatsoever, which is a huge benefit over other tapes. February 8, 2013 Rated 5 out of 5 by Karchar Loved it! I usually buy Frog tape for painting but decided to try 3M's Edge Lock for a change and was amazed at how much better it was. It was much easier to apply, less likely to get tangled, much stickier than frog tape and came off like a dream. Thanks so much for a great product! January 27, 2013 Rated 1 out of 5 by Marl Terrible product This stuff is awful. Do not buy.1. Paint bleeds along the laughable "edge lock". Even on perfectly flat surfaces.2. Peels off old paint when removed. Hooraaaay!! I get to go back and re paint my ceilings!3. Shreds into tiny gibblets when removed. Who doesn't love having to get needle nose pliers to get this out of the corners of a room?4. Takes NEW PAINT with it when removed. STRAIGHT BEAUTIFUL LINES WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF PAINTING WITH THIS GARBAGE!! Not jagged rip lines, or worse... me spending 3 hours to remove it with a razor blade.I have demanded my money back from 3M. January 23, 2013 ![]() |
