Rated 5 out of 5Â by Angela23 The scotch painters tape with edge lock paint line protector is the only painters tape i ever use it works exactly as described! Whenever i have used your painters tape it's always worked exactly as it should! For example it can be very stressful when it's time to remove the tape from your freshly painted walls but with your scotch painters tape i have never been disappointed! It always comes off just as it should without removing any paint. Rated 5 out of 5Â by ladysculptor Never fails to perform the same reliable way everytime If you are an artist that uses paint of any kind this Edge-Lock Scotch blue tape is a must. It's a must for water color painting. But on glass, craft or cathedal painting is made easier when making pure lines. Ofcourse for painting wall murals it's indespensable. Save yourself hours of extra work. It's a must in every artist studio. February 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5Â by JPass great product! I have used this on fairly fresh paint and polyutherthane without any issues. With the edge lock you have to make sure the tape edge is firmlysecured on the surface November 9, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5Â by ericpeace Lasting quality Working in the southwest part of Louisiana. Humidity and my customers battling this with high volume of air conditioning. The tape holds its edge beautifully. I thought I might run into a problem with the extreme humidity change. Especially when I had to leave product on for over 24 hours. Thanks for offering a quality product. November 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5Â by echey ScotchBlue Painter's Tape In the last 15 years, several painters have painted the interior and exterior of our house and they ALL used the ScotchBlue Painter's tape. They liked the flexibility, the adhesive quality without residue, and the easy on and off. We were especially glad that our faux painter used it on the numerous interior walls she painted for us without running the risk of damage. August 29, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5Â by Ratface Dissapointed with 3M I've been a Pro boat painter and varnisher for many years. Used 3M Blue tape for most of the years. It seems that the Blue is getting worse and worse. It leaves behind the adhesive and the requires extra work in detailing the boat. It is especially true on gel-coat and on sanded surfaces. If it is not detailed very thoroughly and carefully the dust and dirt will stick to the adhesive causing nasty looking tape width dark lines and irate calls from yacht owners. The extra time to detail is really a pain and unneeded extra expense for the owners or myself if it is a flat rate job. I'll be finding a new tape to use. June 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5Â by CAK2000 Tape does not adhere well Used this to tape plastic to a smooth painted wood surface to protect a window from paint over-spray. We used this tape to protect the paint on the wood from damage. The surface was clean and dry and the tape was applied in 6-inch strips around the window. After an hour, the tape strips were peeling off and some were no longer adhering. Now, we have to re-tape the window (which is not an easy task from a high ladder!). May 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5Â by AZK48 really disappointed Taped out all windows and doorways as well as baseboards. Then I painted the trim. Didn't have paint bleed, but when I removed the tape from the walls, it took the paint off the walls. Now I have to repaint. January 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5Â by jakkad Terrible product I own a remodeling company. I bought two rolls of Edge-lock to paint a hallway and bedroom. On the hallway, I applied about 40 lineal feet of Edge-lock. At least 15 feet of it no longer adhered after about 1 hour. Plus, where it did adhere, there were numerous bleed throughs. I had to go back with wet Q-tips to clean up the bleeding. I thought this might be a fluke, so I used a new roll for the bedroom. Same problem. Terrible product. December 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5Â by ritake Took the paint off - will need to repaint the wall I paid $14 for this roll of tape. I was going to paint my ceiling and I used it on the wall edges. The tape goes on easy, stays in place and comes off easy, except the paint comes with it. I will need to buy some paint to repaint the wall edges. I am very disappointed. I could have bought artist tape for this amount of money and have guaranteed results. Now I need to spend more money and time to repair the damage. October 22, 2013
