Helpful Hints
Paint Pointers
- Choose colors that work well together and enhance the beauty of your existing furnishings.
- Before you buy, consider bringing home paint swatches or samples, to get an idea of how the
colors will look together in your space. It's a great way to avoid time-consuming painting mistakes.
TAPE TIPS |
Resist the Urge to Stretch
When masking any surface, pull tape off the roll a few feet at a time. Avoid stretching the tape, as this can cause it to lift up or break. |
Get Extra Sharp Lines
Seal the edge of the tape with the basecoat color. This helps the tape adhere and gives you clean, sharp, professional paint lines. |
DÉCOR IDEAS
- Tie the room together with pillows, throws, candles and other accessories in colors that complement your accent wall.
- Add interest with lampshades, rugs or cushion covers that contrast with the accent color or enhance the color of the lighter walls.
- Enrich the atmosphere of your newly painted room with lush plants and fresh flowers.
