Measure 2-inch squares and mark the grid in pencil. Use ScotchBlue™ Painter's Tape for Delicate Surfaces to tape the grid.
Step 2: Paint First Squares
Paint the open squares with your darker color following manufacturer instructions. Gently remove the tape, then let the paint dry for 24 hours.
Step 3: Re-Tape & Finish Squares
Re-tape your grid, this time placing the tape over the new dark squares. Paint the open squares in between the tape with two coats of the dark color. Gently remove the tape after the final coat.
Note: For best results, always follow the paint manufacturer's instructions regarding recoat and dry times.
